Where the wax print on the Ankara Tote comes from
Two printers in Abeokuta, one pattern we have used since the beginning, and why it is never quite the same twice.

The pattern on the tote has been the same since the first run. The cloth has not.
Wax-resist printing puts the design on with hot wax before the dye, and the wax cracks. Those cracks take the dye, and where they fall is decided by how the cloth was folded and how warm the room was that morning. Two lengths off the same table are cousins, not twins.
We work with two printers in Abeokuta. One has been doing it for thirty years and one for six, and we buy from both because a single supplier for a hand process is not a supply chain, it is a hope.
What this means for you is simple: the bag you receive will not match the photograph exactly, and we would rather tell you that here than have you discover it.
Once a month, at most
Product photographs are for illustration and colours can vary between screens. Stock and prices can change while an item is in your basket — the price confirmed at checkout is the one that applies, and any delivery charge is worked out there too.
